MOTORISTS have been given a clearer picture thanks to new lighting in a Christchurch car park this winter.
The lower deck at Saxon Square car park has been fitted out with 58 LED light fittings.
Bournemouth-based firm Drewlec Electrical Services carried out the changes, with the new lights only using a third of the power required from the previous set-up.
Richard Drewitt, managing director of parent company The Drewitt Group, said: “We are really proud to be able give a much-needed upgrade to the lighting of a car park which is based in Christchurch and is well used by residents and visitors to the town.
“We hope that it will continue to benefit car park users for many years to come throughout the changing seasons as the first stop on their way to work, shopping, cafes and restaurants in Christchurch.”
The lights took 30 days to install. The car park’s lighting was last updated more than 20 years ago.
