A DISQUALIFIED driver who ploughed into a car at a Poole retail park has been jailed.
Mathew Streeter, 30, who is also known by his alias 'Slater', admitted taking a Renault Megane without consent from an address in Poole.
He then crashed the car into a Volkswagen Golf at Tower Park.
On January 11, Streeter, of Gladstone Road in Poole, admitted taking a vehicle without consent, driving while disqualified, failing to stop after an accident and driving without insurance.
He was sentenced to 17 weeks in prison after magistrates found the probation service couldn't offer a suitable alternative to custody.
Streeter was also banned from driving for two years and a further six points were added to his licence.
