Wiltshire Police has confirmed that DS Bailey has now returned to work after a lengthy absence to recuperate.
The brave officer spent some three weeks at Salisbury District Hospital after falling ill.
It was later discovered that the nerve agent had been administered to the property's door handle.
DS Bailey, his wife and children were unable to return to their home as he had unknowingly contaminated the property when he returned.
