FOUR iconic musicians have been brought together under one roof for the Legends Live arena tour which culminates in Bournemouth in April.

The show will feature queen of rock Suzi Quatro, pop icon David Essex, rock band Smokie and Scottish pop singer Les McKeown front man of Bay City Rollers, the original boy band, known for ‘Rollermania!

Ahead of the tour, Les McKeown spoke to Leisure Live to answer a few questions...

What can audiences expect from this tour? A trip into their/my past, the young hazy days of fancy free teen life, Jackie magazine, Top Of The Pops, tartan trousers, and all the Bay City Rollers hit songs performed as close to the authentic recordings as can be achieved and vocalised by the original voice on all the hits.

What are you most looking forward to on this tour? The audiences, the excitement, catching up with old friends and performing live.

What do you like best about your job? It’s the best job in the world, a sea of happy faces greet me on every job.

Describe your typical audience in three words? Enthusiastic, brilliant, loyal.

What would our readers be surprised to know about you? I’m 63 years old, he will be 64 on November 12 this year.

Bye Bye Baby, released in 1975, was their first UK Number 1, which was followed by Give A Little Love, just few months after. Other hits include Love Me Like I Love You, Money Honey and I Only Want To Be With You.
