MEMBERS of the public are invited to RSPB Arne nature reserve for a trio of ‘birding for beginners’ sessions.
RSPB Arne visitor experience officer Ellie Sunderland said: “Come and learn more about the birds that call RSPB Arne nature reserve home, and discover how to get to grips with bird identification in your own gardens too.
“Over three consecutive Thursdays we'll start with the basics - garden and hedgerow birds, then move on to waders and ducks, finishing with heathland specialist birds."
The sessions, open to anybody, are scheduled for January 31, February 7 and 14.
Ellie added: “Our friendly wildlife guides will give you an introduction to birding followed by a wildlife walk around the reserve on the lookout for birds in the hedgerows, and harbour - so you can put some of your newfound skills to the test.”
Places are limited and booking is required. Visit rspbarne.eventbrite.com to secure your place on one of the courses.
