A MAN has appeared in court in connection with an alleged attack on a Poole pensioner.
Matthew Locks, aged 26, of Ashley Road, Poole, is charged with maliciously wounding Charles Taylor with intent to do him grievous bodily harm.
Locks appeared at Bournemouth Crown Court on Wednesday, December 19.
His next appearance is scheduled at the same court on January 17.
Dorset Police were called to Phyldon Close, Parkstone, Poole, on the evening of Monday, December 17, by the ambulance service to reports a man in his 80s has sustained a serious head injury.
He was taken to hospital for treatment, where he remains in a critical condition.
