The Sandbanks chain ferry
SANDBANKS Ferry is back in service after undergoing maintenance work. The ferry was back in action at 1pm on Thursday following its annual winter refit.
It was taken out of service for just over seven weeks after being sent to Falmouth for the maintenance work. Once the ferry returned to Poole, it had to undergo a week of tests before it could be brought back into service.
