A WINTER Alpine-style bar lodge is set to open in Poole to support a local hospice.

For the third year running, a Taste of the Alps has come to Mai Tai in Ashley Cross, who have officially opened its Winter Lodge which will be supporting Forest Holme Hospice in Poole.

This year Mai Tai has made the lodge even more christmassy, cosy and wintery than last year and will be serving 20 different beers, with 10 on draft, mulled wine or Cider, and food, including sharing charcuterie and cheese boards, baked Camembert, festive toasties, cheese or chocolate fondue, plus lots more. The lodge is now open Tuesday to Sunday until the end of December from 4pm until late.

The lodge also features 2 table-football tables, giant games, such as Jenga and Connect 4, plus there is a number of events lined up over the festive period, including a weekly quiz night, Big Fat Christmas Quiz, Jolly Jumpers night and beer masterclasses.

Paul Tucker, Fundraising Manager at Forest Holme, said, “We are delighted that Mai Tai has once again chosen to support the hospice this year with its Winter Lodge. They have been great supporters of ours over the past 2 years, helping us by generating awareness about the work of the hospice, as well as through fundraising.”
