A MAN has been charged with drink-driving after a Ford Fiesta left the road and landed on its roof in water in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Paramedics were called to Blashford Lakes, near Ringwood, shortly before 1.30am today.
Firefighters from Burley, Fareham, Fordingbridge and Redbridge also rushed to the crash, which happened south of Snails Lane.
Emergency services personnel carried out a search of the car and the riverbank to ensure no one was trapped in the wreckage.
Officers have now comfirmed that a 25-year-old man who lives in South Gorley has been charged with drink-driving following the incident. He will appear at Southampton Magistrates' Court on January 17.
