HUNDREDS of people flocked to see the big red Coca-Cola truck at Bournemouth’s Pier Approach on Saturday.

The truck is in Bournemouth as part of its eighth annual national tour in the run-up to Christmas.

People will be able to visit the truck again today between 12pm and 8pm.

Bournemouth University students Lauren Davis, 18, and Hannah Collins, 20, were in the town centre to see the truck and Bournemouth Christmas Tree Wonderland.

They said they queued with 100 other people for around 15 minutes for the chance to have their photo taken with the truck.

Anna Pollares was visiting Bournemouth from Beaconsfield with her two daughters for the day.

She said she didn’t realise the truck was in town, but it was a bonus that they were able to see it during their visit.

Visitors can enjoy a 150ml can of the soft drink at each stop.

Over the last eight years, the truck has travelled over 737,000 miles – the equivalent of 29 times around the world – twinkling its 8,772 fairy lights and playing the iconic ‘Holidays are Coming’ jingle.
