TWO women have appeared in court in connection with applications for nuisance closure orders on two neighbouring Bournemouth flats.
Neighbours Melanie Pope and Karen Veysi, appeared in the dock at Poole Magistrates’ Court, yesterday, to hear their cases had been adjourned until next month.
Bournemouth Borough Council has applied for the closure orders following service of a notice on November 27 in respect of flat C and flat D, Clifford Road, Bournemouth.
Pope and Veysi, who live in flat C and D, respectively, were told the terms of the closure notice – that only they can reside in their own flats – will remain in force until the next court hearing.
They were also warned by the magistrates that, under the terms of the notice, they could not even visit one another.
The application orders are being sought under section 80 of the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014.
