HARRY Redknapp said he thought he would be fed bacon sandwiches during his stint in the jungle on hit show, I’m A Celebrity.
The Sandbanks resident and former football manager entered the camp as the series got under way on Sunday night and was shocked at the basic conditions, saying he thought it would be "a lot more luxurious".
He looked horrified when he heard emu was on the menu for dinner, saying he did not think he could eat it, particularly as he had been a fan of Rod Hull and Emu.
"I thought there was a caravan round the back here where they were doing bacon sandwiches," he said.
He also talked about the time he injured his wife Sandra during a ‘freak’ accident, describing the incident as a "nightmare".
Fellow contestant and former Wimborne resident, James Mcvey of The Vamps, faced a 100m (328ft) high challenge called The Edge - the highest the show has ever had – along with his teammate, ex-EastEnders star Rita Simons who is appearing in panto in Bournemouth this Christmas.
Other contestants include DIY SOS presenter Nick Knowles, actor John Barrowman, The Chase's Anne Hegerty and Coronation Street actress Sair Khan.
The opening episode of the show attracted around 11 million viewers, making it the most-watched launch since 2013.
