A MAN has been arrested after a cafe in Boscombe was broken into on Thursday night.
Police received reports that a till had been stolen during the incident at The Cherries Café on Curzon Road at 9.05pm.
An officer attended and, assisted by a member of the public, located two men in Kings Park.
A till and amount of cash were recovered from the scene.
A 19-year-old man from Bournemouth was arrested on suspicion of burglary and is assisting officers with their enquiries.
Inspector Stew Gates, of Bournemouth police, said: “A full and thorough investigation is now underway, led by detectives from Bournemouth CID. Enquiries also remain ongoing to locate a second suspect.
“We are committed to protecting businesses from suspected burglars and this case yet again demonstrates our 24/7 response to reports that we receive.”
