WITH Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez's ode to B-movie double-bills Grindhouse falling flat on its B-hind, it's the turn of a couple of crazy Asian filmmakers to try to make the format work. While not strictly a double-feature, both films were made under the same strict set of rules and had to feature a fight to the death.
First up is Aragami, the story of a wounded samurai who is healed by his mysterious host. Cue a fairly impressive fight to the death.
2LDK focuses on two actresses fighting for the same role in a TV show, with a feud that descends into physical assault with everything from eggs to electrocutions thrown in the mix. A great slice of insanity.
