A YOUNG woman reported being raped after a night out in Wimborne.
A 48-year-old Bournemouth man has been arrested after the woman, who is in her teens, was allegedly raped at an address in the town in the early hours of Sunday morning.
She had been out with a relative before the incident took place, police say.
The woman immediately told her relative, and a fight broke out near the Rising Sun pub between the relative and the alleged offender at 1.30am.
Two members of security staff and two members of the public intervened to break up the row.
The woman reported the incident to Dorset Police at 2am.
Detective Sergeant Stef Belton, of Bournemouth CID, said: “A full investigation is under way and the victim is being supported by specially-trained officers."
Police are "very keen" to identify the two people who were outside the pub in the early hours of the morning and intervened in the row.
"I believe they may have important information which could assist my investigation, and I'd ask these two individuals to please contact me as soon as possible," DS Belton said.
