A337 closed near Royal Oak pub after crash involving cyclist
A ROAD in the New Forest was closed after a cyclist fell off his bike.
Police shut the A337 near the Royal Oak pub, between New Milton and Milton-on-Sea.
The incident happened near the junction of Hordle Lane.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said: "We were called at 12.55pm with reports that a man had become injured after falling from his bicycle on the A337 Christchurch Road.
"The cyclist is a man aged in his 80s."
The man was taken to Southampton General Hospital for treatment.
His injuries are not life-threatening, the police spokesperson said.
