CORFE CASTLE will host a number of Halloween activities this half term.

A National Trust spokesman said: "Follow the family-friendly All Hallows Quest to learn all about creepy creatures and find all the missing pumpkins — then claim your prize.

"If your teddy is really brave, bring him or her along to help rescue one of our knights from the clutches of King John along the death-defying zip wire.

"Other soft toys are just as welcome and there are bravery certificates for those who complete the challenge."

Meanwhile, Warwolf II, the castle's medieval siege engine, will be launching missiles high overhead each day at 11.30am and 2pm.

All half term events at Corfe Castle are free but normal admission charges apply.

The activities run from October 20 up until October 28.
