A WOMAN has appeared in court after allegedly harassing her neighbours by repeatedly shining a torch through a window of their Blandford home.

Jeanette Obertelli, who denies one count of causing harassment without violence, appeared at Poole Magistrates' Court on Friday, as part of a short legal hearing ahead of her trial.

Obertelli, aged 65, of Green Close, Charlton Marshall, Blandford, has been ordered to attend the same court on October 23.

Magistrates heard Obertelli is accused of pursuing a course of conduct, between August 19, 2017, and February 25, 2018, which "amounted to the harassment of Alison Morgan and Simon Morgan, and which you knew or ought to have known amounted to the harassment of them in that you have repeatedly shone torches onto the victim's windows during the hours of darkness and acted in an abusive manner towards them by shouting and swearing at them as well as making offensive gestures."
