A HORSE had to be rescued by firefighters after getting stuck in a horse box.
The technical rescue team from Poole was called to the incident in West Melbury on Saturday, along with a crew from Blandford.
The horse, called Barney, had “jumped the divide in the horse box and got wedged in the back”, Poole Fire Station said. With the help of his owner and a vet, firefighters freed Barney by removing the partition and leading him out of the box. He suffered minor cuts but is recovering well.
