The Buttery in High Street, Lymington has closed down
THE manager of a popular New Forest cafe admitted its closure was a sad day.
The Buttery in Lymington ceased trading yesterday after decades in High Street.
Graham Skinner, who was manager of the cafe for 22 years, told the Daily Echo: "It is very sad after such a long time.
"So many people know the place and it is really disappointing for customers and staff that it has gone.
"To lose an independent business from the high street is a shame.
"Some of the people have been coming here for the last 50 years."
Mr Skinner said he will continue to run the Buttery in Brockenhurst.
