THIS week we invited readers to tell us their favourite local Chinese takeaways.
We’ve compiled their responses and here’s a shortlist of some of their top eateries.
Top Wok Parkstone
Top Wok was founded in 1994 by Ronnie Luke and according to its website, the Parkstone branch is the original ownership.
Situated on Bournemouth Road, the takeaway was described as “amazing every time” by one reader.
On the menu, you’ll find chicken, pork, beef and seafood, plus a number of vegetarian dishes including tofu in black bean sauce. It promises to provide customers with “quality, authenticity, good ingredients and the highest level of customer service.”
China Fusion
The second takeaway to appear on the list on Bournemouth Road, China Fusion says it uses the “best ingredients to get (the) best taste” from its team of skilled professional chefs.
Diners can pick from steak, chicken, lamb, pork, seabass, squid, duck or prawn in a variety of ways including salt and pepper or with seaspice sauce.
Joy Hing
They may not deliver food to your door, but that doesn’t stop Joy Hing on Poole Road from being a hit with readers.
Posting on the Bournemouth Echo’s Facebook page, Jennie Melia said the food has “been the same standard for more than 10 years.”
While another praised their hot and spicy chicken chow mein.
M.Y Chinese Takeaway
Such is the allure of M.Y Chinese Takeaway in Holdenhurst Road, that one reader said they walked past two other takeaways to get there. Primarily a Chinese takeaway, it serves all the staples including aromatic duck and spare ribs as well as Szechuan, satay and Kung Po dishes. They even offer a loyalty voucher scheme.
Dragon Palace
This restaurant and takeaway on Christchurch’s Barrack Road, prides itself on serving “delicious dishes MSG-free food materials” and says it makes all sauces from scratch.
There’s free delivery on orders over £12 within three miles and diners can even customise their dishes choosing everything from scallops to fillet steak as their base served in 22 different ways.
