POLICE were called to reports of a man threatening a woman with a firearm at an address in Bournemouth.
Armed officers attended the scene in St Clements Road, Boscombe, following a call at 1.41pm on Monday, September 17.
A cordon was put in place to allow officers to search the address and examine the scene.
Dorset Police confirmed a firearm was recovered.
"It is believed the man and woman were known to each other. No one was injured during the incident," a Dorset Police spokesperson said.
A 41-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possessing a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence. He is assisting officers with enquiries.
