There are estimated to be more than 14,000 people living with dementia across Bournemouth, Poole and Dorset and 850,000 people are affected UK-wide.
Dementia is now the UK's biggest killer, with someone developing it every three minutes.
Alzheimer's Society is calling on family, friends and colleagues to unite against dementia this autumn.
Walk with us at a Memory Walk and help defeat dementia.
More than 1,500 supporters have already registered to take part in Alzheimer's Society's first ever Bournemouth Memory Walk, which will take place at the Waterfront on Sunday 23 September.
Every pound raised through Memory Walk will help Alzheimer's Society provide vital information and support, improve care, fund research and create lasting change.
Unite against dementia and sign up to Memory Walk at memorywalk.org.uk. Registration for Bournemouth will close on Thursday 20 September.
Derek Dodd, Alzheimer's Society Operations Manager for Dorset and Somerset
