THE Daily Echo is offering another valuable free opportunity for businesses to increase their skills at marketing themselves online.

Four digital marketing seminars will take place over two days, with different events for novices and those with some experience.

This time, there will also be a seminar targeted at independent hotels, with content tailored to the industry.

Tracy Hayden, advertising director for the Daily Echo, said: “Digital marketing is a must for every business.

“More and more consumers are researching and buying products and services online and having a solid digital marketing plan is the most cost-effective way to market your business.

“In short, by attending one of our free seminars we can help you navigate your way around the digital landscape and keep you ahead of the curve.”

The seminars will take place on Tuesday, October 16, and Wednesday, October 17, at the Miramar Hotel.

The first session, on Tuesday at 9.30am, is for any businesses which are keen to expand their digital knowledge, and which may not have a digital or marketing expert in the business.

The 3pm session that day is the specialist session for independent hotel, guest house and bed and breakfast operators.

Wednesday’s free seminars, at 9.30am and 3pm, will be premium sessions aimed at businesses which have a marketing expert in the organisation, or who are already spending on digital marketing.

Topics to be covered will include: How the marketing landscape has changed; setting realistic marketing objectives; multi-channel marketing; getting online display right; and social media – is it right for your business.

Digital specialists will be on hand for those who want a one-to-one conversation, but businesses are assured it will not be a sales environment – just an opportunity to get free advice and information.

Every business attending can get a free online “health check” of their organisation.
