NO opportunity was given for residents to have a further say on contentious proposals to fell dozens of trees along a main road in Christchurch.
Hoburne Development appealed the plans for the trees along the A35 Lyndhurst Road after they were rejected by Christchurch Borough Council's planning department.
However, the proposal is being dealt with under fast track route by the planning inspectorate, with no possibility for additional information to be sent in.
A detailed report was published by the council explaining the reasons behind refusing the application to cut down 62 pine trees.
A council spokesperson said no further representations can be made to the planning inspectorate and a site visit will be made independently by the inspector.
Hoburne Development said they had not applied for the appeal to be fast-tracked.
