A BRANCH of fast food chain Subway has closed its doors for good.
A spokesman for the company confirmed the Southbourne Grove branch in Bournemouth has permanently shut down despite a hand-written sign in the window claiming the closure is temporary.
"We can confirm the Subway store on Southbourne Grove in Bournemouth has permanently closed. Subway is looking to open another store at a new location in the area within the next six months, which is currently being negotiated" said the spokesman.
Earlier this year Subway, which has 44,000 stores around the world, announced plans to expand across Dorset. Branches are run on a franchise basis.
