NORTH Dorset MP Simon Hoare has been appointed to a new role in the Home Office following the summer recess.
Mr Hoare has taken on the role of parliamentary private secretary to the home secretary, Sajid Javid.
The Conservative politician had supported the Local Government Reorganisation proposals in Dorset, which were tabled to Mr Javid in his former role as communities secretary.
Following his appointment, Mr Hoare posted on Twitter: "Thrilled and honoured to be appointed to Sajid Javid as parliamentary private secretary to the home secretary.
"I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time at the Department for Eduction with Damian Hinds and learned at huge amount. Looking forward to new challenges at the Home Office."
