COULD you give a forever home to a cat or dog?

Margaret Green Animal Rescue is hoping to find permanent homes for six dogs and cats in its care this week.

Lola is a very independent seven-year-old cat who will let you know if she wants a fuss or not. Lola needs a quiet home with no other pets after her previous owner had to go into a nursing home.

Peanut is a 10-year-old cat who is described as “super friendly and affectionate”. He has a flea allergy from which he has now recovered but he still needs regular preventative treatment. Peanut is happy to share his new home with children, a cat or a dog.

Shadow is a four-year-old cat who is very friendly and affectionate and loves a fuss. She is described as a “bit of a dribble monster” and pokes her tongue out a lot. Shadow should be able to live with a cat and cat-friendly children.

Three-year-old ex-racing Greyhound, Mikey, is a very affectionate, happy and fun-loving lad. He can live with a female dog, older children but not with cats or small furries.

Annie is a “very pretty” two-year-old female Greyhound. She can live with medium-sized and larger dogs and teenagers but would be best suited to a home without cats.

Finally, there’s William. A handsome three-year-old Lurcher who is a very cuddly and affectionate boy. He could live with another dog as long as William meets them first and they get along. He would prefer a home without cats or small furries.
