IT’S the final days of the summer holidays for many. The Daily Echo’s looks at some of the events taking place to help you see your summer out with a bang.

1. The 11th annual Bournemouth Air Festival starts today and runs until Sunday. There will be a host of displays both during day and night for plane fans, including appearances from the much-loved Red Arrows as well debuts from The Breitling Jet Display Team and Gravity Jet Suit Display Team. Also new for this year there are three new pop-up bars plus A Very Vintage Weekend which comes East Overcliff Drive on Saturday and Sunday with dancing, live music, classic cars and more. There will also be firework displays at 10pm from Bournemouth Pier on Friday and Saturday night.

2. Vampire Weekend, St. Vincent, Feist and Yo La Tengo are among the acts set to perform at the 13th annual End of the Road Festival which takes place at Larmer Tree Gardens from today.

3. Poole’s summer fireworks come to a dazzling close tonight. Rockley’s Summer Spectacular will see fun for all the family from 7pm with a circus skills workshop, balloon modelling, bouncy castles and rides, street entertainers and live music. Then at 10pm, there will be a firework finale over Poole Quay.

4. Bournemouth Concert Brass will perform Last Night of the Proms at The Regent Centre in Christchurch on Sunday. Tickets cost £10.50 each for adults and £10 for concessions.

5. An End of Summer Fun Day comes to Poole’s Upton Country Park on Saturday. Between 11am and 3pm, there will be a cress heads workshop in the Education Centre, plus circus skills with Circus Allstars and activities with the Dorset Wildlife Trust and Dorset Blind Association.

6. The four-day Purbeck International Chamber Music Festival will see a host of acts perform across a number of Purbeck venues from today. Natalie Clein, Yuri Zhislin and Natalia Lomeiko are just some of the musicians lined-up. Venues include Harmans Cross Village Hall, Rex Cinema, Smedmore House and Lady St Mary Church in Wareham.

7. Dorset County Show returns to Dorchester Showground on Saturday and Sunday. The event, which began in 1840, will feature 450 trade stands, livestock, competitive classes and demonstrations. There will even be camel racing as part of the event for the first time.
