POOLE

DAVID ERIC NOEL, aged 21 and of Langdon Road, Poole, admits entering as a trespasser a property in High Street North on July 1 and stealing a till worth £1,000. Committed to prison for 12 weeks. Reason: offence was planned and in view of record, no other option available due to alcohol and drugs. To pay £380 compensation. Also convicted in absence of assaulting a PC in the execution of his duty at Poole Hospital on July 1. Fined £100, to pay a £115 surcharge, to pay £100 costs. To be detained in courthouse. Detention deemed served by reason of time already spent in custody. Fine to be written off.
