A DORSET garden centre is celebrating after scooping multiple honours at a regional awards ceremony.

Haskins in Ferndown took home several prestigious accolades at the Garden Centre Association South Thames event, including first place in the Garden Care category, winner of the Barton Grange Trophy for Innovation and Creativity and second place in the Community & Environment category.

Simon Hallam, manager at Haskins Garden Centre, said: ā€œIā€™m proud of all the hard work that my team has achieved this year and delighted that the Garden Centre Association has recognised our efforts.ā€

The South Thames regional award winners were announced during a presentation at Squires Garden Centre in Badshot Lea. The categories were inspected by Gordon Emslie, who joined the Garden Centre Association as an inspector in 2017.

The Garden Centre Association represents nearly 200 garden centres nationwide, helping members to achieve high standards in customer service, plant quality and reliability. The annual awards and inspections help drive members' standards across all areas of business including customer service, merchandising, plant quality and marketing.
