BOURNEMOUTH holidaymakers want a beach that is constantly 25C with no salesmen, free Wi-Fi and parasols fitted with phone chargers.
According to research carried out by holiday website, Travel Republic, beachgoers also want a location that looks good on Instagram.
Their findings also revealed that we spend on average three hours a day on the beach when we’re abroad.
Nearly 58 per cent of us take a beach holiday at least once every two years.
Nearly a quarter of people aged 24 to 35 said they spend more than five hours on social media when at the seaside and a third say free Wi-Fi makes for the perfect beach.
Holidaymakers from Bournemouth are most likely to spend their time at the beach reading, followed by snoozing and people watching.
The top beach bugbear in the UK is people who leave their litter behind, followed by not having anywhere safe to leave valuables when swimming and sand going in their food.
