TROUBLED singer Amy Winehouse has cancelled her forthcoming US tour. But plans for an autumn tour of the UK, including her show at the BIC on November 27, look as though they will go ahead.

The hard-drinking 23-year-old was whisked off to rehab last month after collapsing and having to have her stomach pumped following a widely reported blow out on booze and drugs Now her publicist, Tracy Miller, has told reporters: "Due to the rigours involved in touring, Amy Winehouse has been advised to postpone her upcoming September US and Canadian tour dates. Amy's European and UK tour dates in October and November remain in place."

Ms Miller added that plans are being made to reschedule her US tour for early 2008.

"Until then, Amy has been ordered to rest and is working with medical professionals to address her health."

Meanwhile, Groove Armada member Tom Findlay has become the latest in a long-line of musicians to comment on Winehouse and her troubled behaviour.

"She is a genuine rock star and you know rock stars - they're not perfect people. That's what makes them. She's in that weird position where we don't want her to be perfect because if she wasn't the woman we know she wouldn't be as exciting."
