A NUMBER of roads and lanes in Poole will be closed temporarily for gas mains work.
Churchfield Road will be closed from its junction with Parkstone Road for a distance of approximately 75 metres from Monday, September 10, until Friday, October 5.
Bird’s Hill Road will be closed from its junction with Parkstone Road to its junction with Kiwi Close from Monday, October 8, until Tuesday, January 8, 2019.
And the bus, taxi and cycle lanes on Parkstone Road will be closed east of its junction with Bird’s Hill Road to Alverton Avenue from Monday, October 8, until Friday, November 9.
The footway on Parkstone Road from the bus lay-by to its junction with Alverton Avenue will also be closed. A diversion for pedestrians will be signposted.
SGN will be carrying out the work, which includes gas mains reinforcement and replacement works.
A drop-in session for the public will be held on Tuesday, August 21, from 4-7.30pm at the Civic Centre in Poole, where representatives from SGN will be on hand to answer any questions. Residents will also be able to view plans of the proposed works.
