POOLE Mayor Cllr Sean Gabriel has officially opened a new show home at a retirement complex in Broadstone.
Waterman House, Macaulay Road, has been designed for people aged 60 and over.
It has 36 one and two-bedroomed apartments.
Cllr Gabriel said: "It was a pleasure to visit Waterman House and mark the opening of the show complex there.
"Waterman House will be a welcome asset to Broadstone, providing an excellent solution for retirees who are looking to enjoy an independent and active lifestyle in their retirement."
McCarthy and Stone's southern regional sales manager Kim Caldwell thanked the mayor for his attendance.
She added: "Waterman House is already proving popular with retirees in Broadstone, with 60 per cent of apartments reserved off-plan ahead of its much anticipated opening."
