RESIDENTS in Ferndown are being urged to have their say on proposals to make changes to a 10-mile walk.
Under the proposals, the route, known as Ferndown Stour and Forest Trail, would be redirected to Foxes Lane, on to Wimborne Road and up to the old railway line in order to avoid Stapehill Road.
Ferndown Town Council said: “The existing Cannon Hill to Uddens route is notorious for being water logged and overgrown making the route in-passable at times, it is therefore proposed to re-route this part of the walk along Plantation Road.”
“The council is required to consult on any proposed changes; the views of local residents are considered to be important in this matter.”
To respond to the consultation email customerservices@ferndown.gov.uk, call 01202 892249 or visit Ferndown Town Council’s office in The Barrington Centre.
