A TASTE of India comes to Poole this weekend.

The third annual Dorset Indian Mela takes place in Poole Park between 10.30am and 6pm on Saturday.

Foodies will be able to try home-cooked Indian food from different regions of the country.

There will also be dancing and music on the live music stage throughout the day, plus rides and bouncy castles for children.

The event, hosted by the Dorset Indian Community, will raise money for nominated local charities Julia’s House, Dorset Mind and Novaturient International.

In the past two years, the Dorset Indian Mela has raised more than £5,000 for Forest Holme.

Entry costs £3 per person and is free for children under 12.
