Police were called to Christchurch railway station this morning over concern for a person's welfare.
British Transport Police said they were called to the scene at 8.58am after concerns were raised for a person on the tracks.
A spokesperson said: "A woman was taken to a place of safety.”
All lines were blocked and South Western Railway said some trains may be changed as a result of the incident until 11am.
By 11.30am, the lines were clear and trains were no longer affected.
