POLICE are hunting arsonists after three cars were torched in East Dorset early this morning
At 4.15am, Dorset Police received a call from the fire service who were dealing with three separate vehicle fires in the Merley area.
One crew from Wimborne found a car to be “well alight” in the Oakley Hill area at 4.05am.
Five minutes later, a second crew from Wimborne found another car on fire at a separate address in Oakley Hill.
A third car fire in Ivy Road at 4.15am was dealt with by firefighters from Poole.
The fire service said all three cars were severely damaged or destroyed.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: “Due to the close proximity of the three fires, the incident was treated as suspicious and a search of the area was carried out, with assistance from the NPAS helicopter.”
No one has been arrested and enquiries are ongoing.
