EAST Dorset District Council is to consider its plan for transferring community assets to town and parish councils ahead of local government reorganisation.
On Wednesday, members of the council’s Cabinet Committee will consider which assets it wishes to keep within the new unitary authority and which it wishes to be given away.
In a report produced ahead of the meeting, council officers have drawn up a list of what it is recommended be kept, including Moors Valley Country Park and Verwood Hub.
A second list includes assets such as village halls and public toilets which may be transferred to town and parish councils.
The committee is being asked to come up with a plan for any transfers before April 1, 2019.
