A SCHOOL in Poole has plans to build a new multi-use games area.
Hamworthy Park Junior School in Ashmore Crescent is seeking planning permission to build a 24m x 12m facility for basketball, netball and football.
The proposed games area would be used during PE lessons and after school clubs, as well as playtime.
It would accommodate up to 30 children and feature two football goal areas with basketball nets above and a variety of sports markings on artificial grass surfacing.
A three metre high green mesh fence would surround the area.
In a design and access statement, the school says: “The multi-use games area will provide an area to encourage sporting activities within the school.
“The proposed site location is at the rear of Hamworthy Junior School in the existing playground.”
