POLICE were called to a service station in Purbeck following a report of an attempted break-in early this morning.
Officers carried out a search of the area, assisted by the NPAS helicopter, after the incident at the Sandford Service Station near Wareham at 2.20am.
A 41-year-old man of no fixed abode has been arrested on suspicion of attempted non-dwelling burglary, going equipped for theft and criminal damage to property.
He is currently assisting officers with their enquiries.
