A woman has been taken to hospital following a crash on the A31 this morning.
Police say they were called at 11:09am to reports of a road traffic collision involving a car and an oil tanker on the A31 near Stag Gate.
Emergency services attended the scene, including Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service and South Western Ambulance Service.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said: “We attended the scene along with the ambulance service and fire service. Highways England have also been called to deal with the oil spillage.
“A woman has been taken to hospital with slight injuries.”
The road has been closed between the Bere Regis roundabout and the A350 Roundhouse Roundabout.
Diversions are in place and Eastbound traffic is being told to follow the Howl Circle diversion route, while Westbound traffic is being told to follow the Hollow Square route.
