A WARRANT has been issued for the arrest of a man accused of endangering a flight at Bournemouth Airport.
Anthony Walsh, of High Road, Swayling, Southampton, failed to appear at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Friday (May 4), despite being summoned to appear.
The 43-year-old has been charged with one count of recklessly/negligently acting in a manner likely to endanger an aircraft/person in an aircraft.
The charge relates to a Ryanair flight from Faro, Portugal, which was heading into Bournemouth International Airport, on November 29, last year.
Nicola Reece, prosecuting, told the court a summons had been posted to Walsh.
District Judge Stephen Nicholls agreed to issue a warrant.
It is an offence to recklessly or act in a manner likely to endanger an aircraft, or any person in an aircraft, under the Air Navigation Order 2016.
Anyone found guilty of committing the offence could face a possible prison sentence.
