THERE have been major delays for drivers leaving Bournemouth tonight.
At 10pm, Travel Dorset reported delays of between 35 and 40 minutes on the A338 Spur Road northbound.
The A31 is also slow through the New Forest and towards the M27.
At around 8pm, delays of one hour and 15 minutes were being reported out of Bournemouth as visitors made their way home from the beach.
Yesterday Bournemouth Tourism boss Jon Weaver told the Daily Echo more than 100,000 visitors were expected over the bank holiday weekend.
This weekend has been the hottest early May bank holiday on record.
