CHURCH Road in Ferndown will close for several nights next month to allow engineers to carry out maintenance work.
The stretch will shut between 7pm and 6am from June 4 to June 8 as the works are carried out, but reopen during the day.
A signed diversion route will be in place.
A spokesperson from Ferndown Town Council said: "In the current financial climate, the highways service has had to focus on targeting the most damaged sections of road and areas.
"While the road closure is in place an appropriate diversion route will be signed, as set out by government regulations.
"Traffic will be diverted onto the same classification of road as the one which has been closed."
