SEVEN "dangerous" vehicles were ordered off the road immediate effect on Thursday by police on the A31.
Dorset traffic officers were carrying out checks on large goods vehicles (LGVs) on the Ashley Heath weighbridge.
The vehicles were issued with immediate prohibitions which meant they were ordered off the road.
A Ford Transit towing a trailer with a 1.5 ton mini-digger had four loose bolts connecting the ball hitch to the vehicle. It also had a flat tyre where the wheel on the trailer had been so badly dented.
A small van was found to be half a ton overweight and a VW Transporter had a tyre so bald it was “about to pop”.
One vehicle was seized for no insurance which also prevented the leaking fuel tank from putting diesel all over the road.
The driver was dropped at a local bus station to return home to London without his vehicle.
A tractor was also stopped with 3.5-ton trailer which had no brakes.
A spokesperson for Dorset Traffic Police said: “Sadly there was an almost 100% offence rate with vehicles being overweight, having defective tyres or other offences.”
