A MAN has appeared in court after an alleged stabbing in Bournemouth town centre.
Police received reports of a disturbance at a property in Old Christchurch Road at 6.35am on Thursday, February 15. Officers attended and a local man aged in his 30s was found with wounds to his back.
He was taken to hospital for treatment, in a serious but not life-threatening condition.
Dario Diaz-Lopez, 23, from Old Christchurch Road, has been charged with wounding with intent and appeared before Poole Magistrates’ Court on Friday.
He was remanded in custody to attend Bournemouth Crown Court on March 22.
A 26-year-old man, also from Bournemouth, has been arrested on suspicion of assault and is assisting officers with their enquiries.
