A FLOOD alert has been issued for Wareham.
The alert – which means flooding is possible, be prepared – has been issued for the Rover Frome and tributaries from Dorchester to Wareham.
The Environment Agency says: "Water levels in the River Frome and tributaries from Dorchester to Wareham are rising and are forecast to exceed bankful conditions.
"Further showers are expected tonight but drier weather is forecast for Thursday.
We will continue to monitor the situation and update this message if conditions change."
