THE Crumbs Project in Bournemouth has launched a series of new free practical skills workshops for disadvantaged people.
Thanks to the Santander Foundation UK, the scheme has been awarded a charitable grant to fund practical skills workshops for disadvantaged people.
The Cook and Learn Workshops launch this month, providing individuals with mixed abilities the opportunity to learn practical culinary skills and gain experience of working in a professional catering environment.
A free taster session is available to people aged 18 and over who have experienced mental health issues, learning disabilities, acquired brain injuries and stabilized addictions.
Leanne Miller, operations manager for The Crumbs Project said: "The Cook and Learn Workshops are a great opportunity for potential trainees to gain a unique insight into the professional training, support and facilities here at Crumbs. Workshop trainees can experience what Crumbs has to offer and explore the training programmes and internships available."
